Yes, the importance of games and the Internet can’t be stressed enough, especially when you are stuck in traffic, waiting for the metro or when you’re in a boring meeting (c’mon we all have done that!). If you’re someone like me, I bet you’d like to try out awesome new games every few days. Keeping that in mind, we have curated some of the best and cool Android games that you can play when you catch yourself in the dull and monotonous moments in life.
1. The Battle of Polytopia
Rated 4.7 in the Google Play Store, The Battle of Polytopia is a turn-based strategy game. The goal is simple — wipe out the rest of the tribes and proclaim victory. Sounds simple, but as is the rule of every game, it’s easier said than done. You can choose your tribe and a number of opponent tribes to fight. The game packs extremely adorable pixelated characters that make up your tribe with complementing building structures and surroundings.
2. Tap the Tower
Tap the Tower from Armor Games is a relatively new endless runner game where the thumb rule is to survive the longest and climb as high as you can. The game has a series of planks connected by ladders and the road to a high score is marred with rolling barrels, fiery waterfalls, and falling zombies. It’s a fun and addictive at the same time. As player Aggelos Psarakis puts it, the game makes ten minutes feel like two.
3. Battleheart
It’d be unfair if a list of addictive casual Android games goes without the mention of Battleheart. Developed by Mika Mobile, the game is a real-time strategy game with a host of knights, magicians, wizards, and rogues. As you battle your enemies, you can upgrade and customize your players and weapons. The game has around 30 campaign levels.
4. Boundland
If slingshots were somehow digitized, you’d have a rough version of Boundland. Yes, this drag-and-release game operates much on the principles of slingshots where all you need to do is aim for a star and hit it. No game goes without its share of enemies and Boundland is no different. As your green character goes on its charades, do remember to keep it out of the way of sharp red spikes and evil bosses.
5. Fast Like a Fox
Fast Like a Fox is a fast-paced running game with a unique control. Instead of tapping the phone’s display, you can tap the back and the fox will obey your command. The gameplay is simple – you’ve to reclaim your coins and gems that have been stolen by evil minions. The graphics are amazing and you’d be able to choose from cool snow-covered valleys to fiery caves and city highways as a backdrop.
6. Tomb of the Mask
Ever want to see what lies behind the locked doors of tombs? Play the Tomb of the Mask and you’ll get an idea. This is a cool arcade game with a retro feel where you can not only climb walls but also walk on the ceilings of the tomb as well. In this game, all you have to is collect coins and stars. But watch out for traps and enemies.
7. Smash Hit
Smash Hit is a bit different from other games. Here, you’ll be given a number of crystals and a few balls. Objective? Hit the crystals with the balls. Simple! It has ridiculously good graphics and musically synchronized gameplay. And if you were thinking what’s so hard in aiming and hitting then let me tell you that the crystals are not so easy to reach. Though the game is primarily meant for three-year-olds, the magic of Smash Hit enchants adults quite easily.
