CloudGoo ($0.99 – iPhone, Android) is an app that wants to solve my 99 problems (ok, no more rap references) by combining my used/unused (and multiple) online backups into one big ball of super mega storage. And this is different from Jolicloud, which is more like a Linux disto where you need to manage all your files and folders and places yourself. CloudGOO promises to take care of the nitty gritty details by itself. For you, it just means signing in to different cloud storage services, uploading files and retrieving them via the app.

What About My Password?
Now, I know what you are thinking. Do I need to give my account username and password for my cloud storage service to CloudGOO? No, you don’t. CloudGOO uses APIs to connect with your content, so when you tap on a cloud storage provider, you’ll be taken to a web page where you will log in to the service and then allow CloudGOO access to your files and folders. CloudGOO is directly talking to something like Dropbox and you can revoke its access anytime by going into Settings. CloudGOO won’t know your password.
What Is It Good For?
The obvious advantage of using CloudGOO is that instead of 4-5 different apps, now you have only one. That’s better for your phone’s RAM and for your mind as well. Now you don’t need to allow different media to different services. Just upload and let CloudGOO do its thing. Speaking of upload..
Automatic Upload
I’ve already told you about 8 awesome apps that let you auto upload photos to their cloud services. Out of those 8, 4 are covered in this app. And just like those 8 individual apps, CloudGOO offers automatic upload feature with a lot of options. And CloudGOO will not only upload pictures but also videos, music and documents. You can let the app decide what to put where or you can dawn your professor hat on and tell it exactly where to put what. So if you like to keep pictures only in Dropbox for some reason (as I do), CloudGOO won’t disrupt your entire workflow.
Search And Sort
CloudGOO allows you to search through any of your cloud drives all at once. When you open the app, you get four shortcuts for Photos, Music, Videos and Documents. Any or all of the related file types across your cloud storage services will be listed here. You can look at it year by year if you want, sort though name or view thumbnails.
Only On Mobile
CloudGOO does a great job at consolidating 6 different services into one app and it handles uploads quite well. But the app is only available on Android and iOS. A lot of my cloud computing, especially work related takes place on my MacBook or PC. Now, if I let CloudGOO upload an important file on any one of my services, I’d have to go looking for it later on. Which is why I’m giving CloudGOO strict instructions as to which file type goes to which cloud service. This is the best of both worlds. Your data is distributed between different drives so not one of them is clogged up and you have control over what goes where.
