Here is a list of features that might not sit well with OnePlus3 owners, as this launch is in proximity to their previous flagship launch in June. But the 3T is great news for all of you looking to buy a new handset which is much more reasonably priced than Apple’s or Google flagship devices and comes loaded with features at par with them.
1. The Snappy Qualcomm SnapDragon 821 Processor
An upgrade from the 2.15 GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 820 processor, the new 821 is going to clock at 2.35 GHz, making the user experience even more seamless and snappier than before. This processor, which is also being used in Google Pixel and Pixel XL, is the company’s main showcase in these pre-launch days.

2. The New Android 7.0 Nougat-based Oxygen OS
While its predecessor came with Android 6 Marshmallow-based OS, the OnePlus 3T is likely to get the latest operating system from the Android stable, sized according to the phone’s specific needs in their Oxygen-based OS.
3. Snap Away With the New Sony Sensors
Another speculated upgrade, which is also a major one contributing to the said INR 5000 ($80) price hike in the upcoming flagship device, is the addition of 16 megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor. An upgrade on the Sony IMX 298 sensors used in OnePlus 3, these latest sensors were launched first on the Oppo R9s in April this year, and the OnePlus’ new flagship is all set to boast them too. The front camera is rumoured to be an 8 Megapixel, and there also have been talks of a dual camera on the OnePlus 3T.
4. AMOLED to LCD or Maybe Not
This is probably the only feature in this list that won’t be new and we go ahead with a lot of speculation on this one too. Rumour has it that due to the paucity of AMOLED screens, the company has decided to switch to LCD for easier availability of screens for post-purchase service needs. This will come as a direct contradiction to CEO Carl Pei’s statement that their phones will sport AMOLED screens in the near future at least, and hence, might turn out to be false altogether.

5. Whopping Upgrade on the Built-in Memory
The new flagship from OnePlus is set to get more space for your memories, music, videos, games and everything else your phone deserves to have with 128 GB built-in memory — double the memory size on the OnePlus3.
6. More Power to the Device with a Bigger 3300 mAh Battery
The new device will come with a bigger 3300 mah battery, an upgrade on their 3000 mAh on the previous device. This might not necessarily improve the device’s battery life as the 3T is also getting the new SnapDragon 821 Soc. The OnePlus 3T will borrow the dash charge support from its predecessor, which energises your phone for approximately 6 hours of use in a half-hour of charge. Apart from this, it’s also set to keep the 6 GB RAM from the OnePlus 3’s.
7. It’s Going to be Pricier, But Also, Better than its Predecessor
The upcoming OnePlus 3T’s will approximately cost INR 5000 ($80) more than it’s predecessor, keeping it priced around the INR 30000-33000 bracket ($450-495). But considering the fact that it comes fitted with Snapdragon’s latest offering and is relatively cheaper to other phones sporting the same chipset, it’s going to be a steal.
