Thankfully, hamdir, an XDA member has come out with a fix to the problem. All you need is a rooted device with unlocked bootloader and ClockworkMod installed on it. If you are running a custom ROM the chances that you might have the fix included is very high. If your ROM supports tweaks, you will find the settings in the Sense option. Note: The process requires you to flash some files on your system in recovery mode, and that’s pretty easy. Still, Guiding Tech takes no responsibility of any damage caused to your phone while applying the fix. You are warned!
Let’s Begin…
Note: Don’t forget to backup all your important data before you proceed. Step 1: Check the build number on your phone and download the necessary files from XDA official development page. To check the build number open Settings and navigate to About—>Software information—>More and check the build number. Please make sure you download the file matching your build number. If the build number is not matching, do not proceed any further, it will only create problems in your phone. There are two fixes available for each build. Super Smooth Rosie and Ultra Smooth Rosie. Have a look what the developers say about both the fixes. Step 2: After you have downloaded the file, transfer the zip file to your SD card. This will keep the layered widgets in the initial screen you begin scrolling from and freezes/flattens all the other pages until you stop scrolling. It will satisfy those who don’t want to completely lose the effect. There might still be a very slight frame rate drop during the initial 3D flip. Ultra Smooth Rosie This mod goes even further, it completely disables the layers effect by flattening and freezing all home screens during scroll. Locked liquid smooth 60fps!Any lag or stutter you experience at this point is not caused by Sense launcher. Step 3: Having done that, boot into ClockworkMod recovery on your phone. To do so, turn off your phone and boot into bootloader by pressing the volume down button along with the power button. In bootloader select recovery and reboot. Use the volume buttons for navigation and power button to make the selection. Step 4: After you are in the recovery, Select install zip from sdcard—>choose zip from sdcard and flash the file you copied to your SD card. You may reboot your system now.
Conclusion
That’s all, you can now enjoy your lag-free launcher seamlessly. If you want to go back to the stock launcher, simply flash the stock file. You can download the file from XDA itself.
