The Bluetti AC500 is the successor to the popular A500 power station. Bluetti has improved the battery capacity, app compatibility, and battery technology. Check out the Bluetti AC500 If you have been tracking the release of the Bluetti AC500C over the last several months, here are all the features you need to know about this portable power generator. So without further ado, let’s get started.
1. Huge Capacity & Modular System
The AC500 boasts a huge power capacity and packs a power of 5,000W. And that’s not the end of the story. It has a 100% modular design and pairs well with modular battery packs to drive up the total output power.
For now, it’s compatible with the B300 and B300S battery packs and yields around 18,432Wh. This makes it highly apt to run power-demanding devices like ovens, TVs, mini-fridge, etc. when needed. It also doubles as a 5,000W inverter and a backup power source for household electronic items.
2. LiFePO4 Battery Advantage
The AC500 power station uses LiFePO4 (Lithium Ion Phosphate) battery cells that promise long-term durability and charge cycles. They can go up to 3,500 charge and discharge cycles. In comparison, conventional lead-acid batteries have about 500-1000 life cycles. On top of that, LiFePO4 battery cells offer optimal performance and can last around 10 years. That lowers the maintenance costs.
3. Smart App Control
The Bluetti AC500 also has Wi-Fi connectivity that works well with the companion app. Apart from controlling the power station remotely, the companion app also helps monitor the power consumption and the status of the power station. Tracking and monitoring the power consumption will help you analyze your power trends over time and deduce which home appliances consume the most energy.
4. Split Phase Bonding
The Bluetti AC500 also comes with the advantage of Split Phase Bonding. Using it, you can amp up the power and the voltage to almost double.
A Fusion Box Pro (sold separately) can connect two AC500 power stations in series. After that, the power jumps to 10,000W while the capacity bumps to 36,864Wh. You can use this energy to run power-demanding gadgets and electronics.
5. Multiple Charging Methods
Recharging this powerful generator is also not a challenging task. For starters, it supports quite a few charging methods. If we talk numbers, it supports up to 9 different charging methods, including battery charging, car charging, dual & triple charging, and refueling via solar panels. You need to pick one that sits well with your use case. Furthermore, it supports dual charging methods. For example, you can combine standard AC power charging and solar charging to have a fully charged power station. The built-in MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) solar inverter ensures that the Bluetti AC500 receives up to 3,000W of solar input. And this translates into a short charging time. So if your yard receives plenty of sunshine over the day, you know what to do.
6. Clever Design
Last but not least, the Bluetti AC500 boasts a clever design. Despite the power capacity, this one doesn’t weigh a ton. It’s compact, and the battery packs fit over the primary power station. The power station measures 20.5 x 12.8 x 14.1-inches and weighs approximately 66.2lbs (30kg).
It packs a total of 16 outlet ports. These ports are a mix of conventional AC outlets, DC outlets, and USB-A and USB-C ports. This one comes with two USB-C Power Delivery ports.
